The focus of this blog is solo gaming.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a sad person who has no friends. (Although, if we're being honest, my best friend is a cat.) I am just a busy person with a crazy job. My friends also have crazy jobs... and spouses and children. My boyfriend likes to play games with me, but when he gets home from work, sometimes it's all he can do to take a nap on the couch. A few years ago, it would have been easy to solve this problem. But I am no longer a student who can round my buddies up for a board game night or a Lord of the Rings marathon. Now I'm pushing 30, and the most my friends and I can muster is a more-or-less monthly D&D session. So how am I supposed to geek out? Here's the answer: I geek out alone. And I don't think I'm alone in that. On this blog, I plan to review games that I can play solo, whether on console or tabletop. I will also discuss other nerdy things that interest me. But most of all, I plan to revel in the joy that is playing games. So let's go on with our bad selves—and do it by ourselves.
